How to enjoy Bristol arts and culture during the coronavirus lockdown

We first published this blog post to support Bristol arts and culture during the first coronavirus lockdown and we really hoped we wouldn’t have to update it. We loved going back to Bristol’s awesome theatres, art galleries and museums, but their doors are sadly closed […]

Getting my hands dirty at Trylla

There is something so exciting about using your hands to make things and I’ve always been attracted to the idea of building objects with clay and mud. The whole process seems so satisfying and rewarding. So, when I was invited by Yuup, the new Bristol […]

On our daily walk yesterday we visited Palm Temple On our daily walk yesterday we visited Palm Temple by @lukejerramartist for the first time.

The stunning artwork was created to celebrate the 600th anniversary of Brunelleschi’s dome of Florence Cathedral. Inside is a bell that tolls 150-200 times a day, at random intervals, to indicate the number of species lost worldwide every 24 hours.

So lucky to have such amazing art on our doorstep!

👋 We rarely show both our faces in these parts 👋 We rarely show both our faces in these parts so here they are!

We’re Nina, originally from Paris and founder of @bristolinabox and @danmartin_, a freelance small business journalist.

We created the blog to showcase our love for arts and cultural things in Bristol, the South West and beyond. We also love a big walk in the countryside so with our combined skills in photography and words, the blog was born. Thankyou for following our adventures! 🙏
